International Plant Names Index  -  IPNI

A searchable database of plant names, authors, publications and collectors for all seed plant species, including Orchids.  Run jointly by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (UK), the Harvard University Herbaria (USA) and the Australian National Herbarium.

International Register of Orchid Hybrids

The RHS is the International Registrar of Orchid Hybrid Names.  This is their database, searchable on hybrid name (to determine parentage and registration details) or on species name (to determine use as a parent in hybrids).
